For instance, a household of four would need to make no more than about $35,000 annually to qualify, which speaks to the program's emphasis on supporting those who are struggling financially.
- Participation in Assistance Programs: In addition to income criteria, eligibility can also be established through participation in federal programs such as Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
